I had not only an amazing dinner but an overall wonderful experience at dinner. My friend and I shared the seafood bucket and were met with a delicious dinner with the flair of the bucket being dumped out in front of you. Our waiter Abe was so friendly; sharing favorites for appetizer options, thoughtfully inquiring about any allergies, checking in on us often, and chatting while we worked through the bucket. I’d say it’s just as fun as going to a boil with the added expertise of the chefs cooking the fresh seafood to perfection. Not only was the seafood fresh and tender but the whole bucket was flavorful and even the veggies were some of the best I’ve had! I’d also love to highlight that Abe noticed me using different pronouns for my friend and respectfully asked to confirm, which honestly made our whole experience like 100/10.
Service, Char...was amazing!! Food everything was Wow factor. Lobster stuffed mushroom caps and Asiago dip are a must. You are a lobster roll and you get 2!!!! Or one foot long cut in have full of lobster.
My husband who is a chef could not get enough of the haddock fish and chips. The potatoes were so good I have never tasted any as good as this anywhere. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. A bit on the expensive side but worth every dollar
We recently visited Grannan's Seafood located in Market Square, uptown Saint John, and had a fantastic experience! This large restaurant features a dining room upstairs and a lively pub with a patio downstairs, making it a versatile spot for any occasion. Prices are on the higher side for meals and would easily be around 30 per head and more. We came specifically for the happy hour buck-a-shuck oysters between 3-6 PM. Initially, we were seated upstairs and were informed that the special was only available for the bar and patio. However, our server went above and beyond by consulting the manager, and they kindly made an exception for us since there was no clear indication that the offer was exclusive to downstairs. We really appreciated their willingness to accommodate us! We ordered 24 oysters, which were on the smaller side but still delicious and definitely worth the price. We also tried the Pesto Cream Mussels, and they were absolutely delightful—flavorful and well-prepared. Our server was attentive and friendly, making our quick bite even more enjoyable. We left feeling satisfied and happy with our experience. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy the patio, which looked like a great spot for any weather condition. Highly recommend Grannan's Seafood for a fun dining experience!
I got a reservation about just 1 hour before and they actually had a table for me . The food was so very yummy ! If you’re small they give you a kids menu which has a bunch of different activities on them to do while waiting for your food . The place is very nice and the girl serving me there was really nice (she deserves a raise ) .
I can't say enough about this place. We were looking for good seafood and this place didn't disappoint. The selection of menu items was excellent, and so was the service. We sat in a glass enclosed patio, which gave us a nice view of the surrounding area. There is also outdoor seating available. This place is located very near the wharf but doesn't have great views of the harbor. From what I could tell, this is a very popular place. The prices are reasonable and typical of what you would spend for fresh seafood. Our server was very nice and attentive and was of great assistance in helping find a place to view the tides. The place is located along the path that wraps around part of the harbor. This allowed us to easily walk from our hotel.
Loved the food here! I had the taste of the coconut shrimps, the stuffed mushrooms with lobster, and the mussels with pesto. All super delicious and tasty meals. The only downside I can think of with the food is that the coconut shrimpd were too pricey just for 6 or 8 shrimps. The service was very good. Our waitress Britney (or Courtney, sorry I forgot her name ) really took the time to chat with us gave us really good recommendations for the dishes. I also like the covered and heated patio where we can eat. Overall, it was a wonderful experience here and will definitely come back
LOVED THE EXPERIENCE! Our waitress, Charlotte was amazing!! She was super friendly and helpful in guiding us in our dinning choices, great recommendations. 10/10 Had the lazy lobster, scallops, and oysters, absolutely delicious!
